CHIEF OF POLICE – ALDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT The City of Alden, MN is seeking applicants for a Chief of Police, working 30 to 40 hours per week. Benefits are pro-rated for those interested in a 30 hour only work week. Applicants must be POST licensed or eligible to be POST licensed by the time of appointment, must pass a pre-employment background check, psychological, physical exam and must have a valid driver’s license. Applicants must be flexible to working varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Pay is negotiable. Benefits include PERA, health, dental, life & AD &D insurance, as well as paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation.
The city is looking for an individual who is a self-starter, energetic, community oriented, and has good communication skills. The individual will be responsible for protecting the lives and property of the citizens of Alden, enforcing laws and ordinances, conducting investigations, and maintaining public order.
