NOTICE The monthly meeting of the Alden City Council will be held Wednesday, May 13th, at 6:00 pm in the Conference Room at 174 Water Street.
There will be a public hearing at the beginning of the meeting to receive input regarding a proposed ordinance renewing a natural gas franchise with Minnesota Energy Resources, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group. A copy of the full ordinance can be obtained in the city office, or found on the city website: www.aldenmn.com
The regular meeting will begin immediately following the close of the Public Hearing.

The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at (507) 874-3620. To complete the service line inventory our system performed record review, community outreach, and/or visual inspections. SANITARY SEWER NOTICE: As a reminder paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, flushable wipes, and other similar items do not break down like toilet paper and can cause sanitary sewer backups, which in turn can cause additional public health concerns. PUBLIC NOTICE Sump pump connection to the sanitary sewer may be maintained from October 15, 2024 – March 15, 2025. The unauthorized use of a sump pump into the sanitary sewer during the period of March 15th, 2025 - October 15th,2025 could constitute a penalty per City Ordinance No. 51.062
