CITY WIDE CLEAN-UP DAY Saturday, May 2nd 8:00am to Noon Alden City Shop In order to promote a clean and healthy community, Alden will be hosting a city-wide cleanup day for all residents of the city. We will have dumpsters for disposing of unused/unwanted items. The service will be free, but you must live within the city limits. Please bring proof of residency.
Items can be brought to the parking lot of the City Shop, located at 157 E. Main Street. There will be staff at that location to answer questions and assist in unloading, if necessary.
Please have items separated between household items, hazardous waste, and appliances. Only household items will be allowed in the dumpsters. THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED: Household Items Mattresses & Furniture Construction Materials Hazardous Waste Oil Paint Appliances Water heaters/softeners Air conditioner Microwaves All metal THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED: Computers & TV’s Tires Concrete & Bricks Shingles Yard Waste can be taken to the compost site, and brush can be taken to the city burn site located West on County Road 46 and North on 640th Ave. THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ITEMS DETERMINED NOT ACCEPTABLE.

To complete the service line inventory our system performed record review, community outreach, and/or visual inspections. SANITARY SEWER NOTICE: As a reminder paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, flushable wipes, and other similar items do not break down like toilet paper and can cause sanitary sewer backups, which in turn can cause additional public health concerns.
