NOTICE TO RESIDENTS REGARDING ONLINE BILL PAYMENT Online Bill pay is now available! Please see the "Pay Utility Bill" tab at the top of this page for the bill payment information. As always, payments may also be made by cash or check. Notification of Accessibility of the Service Line Materials Inventory - City of Alden The City of Alden has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at (507) 874-3620. To complete the service line inventory our system performed record review, community outreach, and/or visual inspections. As of October 16, 2024, our inventory contains 2 lead, 10 galvanized requiring replacement, 364 unknown material, and 14 non-lead service lines. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
SANITARY SEWER NOTICE: As a reminder paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, flushable wipes, and other similar items do not break down like toilet paper and can cause sanitary sewer backups, which in turn can cause additional public health concerns. PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH ITEMS OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER DOWN YOUR TOILET. Thank you for your cooperation.
PUBLIC NOTICE Sump pump connection to the sanitary sewer may be maintained from October 15, 2026 – March 15, 2027. The unauthorized use of a sump pump into the sanitary sewer during the period of March 15th, 2026 - October 15th,2026 could constitute a penalty per City Ordinance No. 51.062
