City of Alden 2024 Drinking Water Report (Click to View)

* Spanish: Información importante.  Si no la entiende, haga que alguien se la traduzca ahora.
*The Minnesota Department of Health requires all community water systems to annually supply their customers with water quality information.  The basic information in the report includes the sources of the system’s drinking water, monitoring results for the previous calendar year (including detections and, if any, violations), compliance information, and standard language required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  The following is a report of the water system of the City of Alden for 2018.  This report will not be individually mailed to customers of this system, but is available upon request at the City Clerk’s Office.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT LEAD IN YOUR DRINKING WATER
The City of Alden found elevated levels of lead in drinking water in some homes/buildings. Exposure to lead in drinking water can cause serious health effects in all age groups. Infants can have decreases in IQ and attention span. Lead exposure can lead to new learning and behavior problems or exacerbate existing learning and behavior problems. The children of women who are exposed to lead before or during pregnancy can have increased risk of these adverse health effects. Adults can have increased risks of heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney, or nervous system problems. Please read the information at General Public Education Notice to see what you can do to reduce lead in your drinking water and to learn what The City of Alden is doing to address this problem.

For additional information, please visit Lead (http://www.epa.gov/lead).
