Please remember that as of March 15th, all sump pumps need to be pumped outside, not into the sanitary sewer. Pumping into the sanitary sewer causes a shortage of storage at the Sanitary ponds. Please make sure that your sump pumps are discharged outside. Feel free to call the city office if you need help making this change. Thank you for your cooperation.

NOTICE - ALDEN CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE MEETING
The Ordinance and Policy Review Committee of the Alden City Council will meet in a Workshop to review and possibly recommend changes to the current City Code and Policies. There will be a quorum present, and any changes recommended will be reviewed and voted on by the full council at a regularly scheduled council meeting. The meeting will be Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 4:00 PM in the Conference Room at 174 Water St.
FOUND:
A cell phone was found at Northpark the first week in January, and turned in to the city office. Please stop in to the city office to claim it.
SANITARY SEWER NOTICE:
As a reminder paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, flushable wipes, and other similar items do not break down like toilet paper and can cause sanitary sewer backups, which in turn can cause additional public health concerns. PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH ITEMS OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER DOWN YOUR TOILET. Thank you for your cooperation.
